Since Stratospheric Ozone is produced by the presence of oxygen andultraviolet photons from the sun, the relative ozone concentration in theatmosphere varies with altitude.  A typical vertical profile of ozone overthe south pole is shown in the figure below.   The red line is atypical ozone hole profile from October 2001, the blue line shows typically healthy ozoneconditions Jan 2001, and the green line shows the temperature profile. Ozone concentrations are shown in milli-Pascals (mPa) which are  closelyrelated to molecules per cubic centimeter.
